CMHRC Awarded $100K from Baszucki Family Foundation

Through this partnership we will launch a study on

ketogenic therapy for children with bipolar disorder.

We are so thrilled to share this fantastic news! Children's Mental Health Resource Center (CMHRC) has been awarded a generous $100,000 grant from Baszucki Family Foundation.

With this grant CMHRC will launch a groundbreaking study on the effects of metabolic therapy through nutritional ketogenic diets in children with bipolar disorder. This study will be one of the first of its kind, investigating the effects of metabolic therapies in children. But CMHRC is doing what we do best and providing a comprehensive program to support the parents and caregivers whose children will be trying out this metabolic therapy.

We have so much admiration for Baszucki Family Foundation's commitment to championing the potential of metabolic health and therapies. We are also incredibly grateful for their recognition of CMHRC's unique position as an organization that can carry out this study while providing resources, support, and guidance to the parents and caregivers. This significant funding will allow us to further our mission of providing vital support and resources to children and families facing mental illness.

Join the Groundbreaking Study

We are actively looking for participant families with children between the ages of 6 - 17 with a diagnosis of bipolar disorder who are interested in participating in this study. Participant families must be willing to change their diet, keep a daily food diary, monitor blood glucose and ketones, track bipolar symptoms each day, and participate in weekly zoom sessions for 6 months.

If you have been thinking about trying ketogenic therapy for your child, this may be the perfect opportunity to have extra support from the CMHRC Team. To be considered for the study, complete the interest survey below.

Not sure, if you'd like to join the study but want some more information about it? Click the link below for more information.
