Professional Consultations
with CMHRC

CMHRC is partnering with mental health professionals to help take their practice to the next level.

Since the beginning CMHRC has offered a Diagnostic Consultation service to families struggling to understand childhood mental health. Our experts work with families to help them access both an accurate diagnosis as well as proven and effective treatment options.

An Added Layer of Assurance

Now, CMHRC is launching a consultation service for mental healthcare professionals, providing additional assurance as they care for their clients. Our experts take an in-depth approach, using clinically proven assessments, interviews, and case review to help determine if the diagnoses given are accurate. The CMHRC team combs through all of an individual's previous assessments, summaries, and notes from mental health professionals, medical providers, and schools to complete a thorough differential diagnosis process which supports or clarifies the most likely diagnosis.

Support Your Practice and Your Records

As an outside team, CMHRC provides comprehensive and sound documentation. Clinicians can use this material when they collaborate with other service providers, or when communicating with insurance companies, which are often skeptical of what they consider to be "over diagnosed" or “rare” psychiatric disorders.

As the provider you may know your client needs weekly one hour sessions. But insurance companies may question your judgement and challenge you to produce additional evidence that the level of care you've recommended is warranted. Consultation with CMHRC provides documentation for your client records to

support the appropriate level of care. Your client’s clinical record will contain summaries of meetings and discussion between you and CMHRC's expert team, CMHRC's assessments, summaries of interviews and consultations, findings, and details on why other illnesses or conditions are not a consideration.

Ideally, all providers would be able to engage in the in-depth detective work it takes to appropriately review and consider all possibilities. But professional time is severely limited by packed appointment schedules, administrative duties, client communications, and documentation requirements.

CMHRC's Professional Diagnostic Consultation Service frees up your time while not compromising the quality of care and attention your clients deserve.

Value of Professional Discussion

Also available as part of this service is CMHRC’s professional discussion group. While maintaining high levels of confidentiality, challenging and complex cases can be brought to the attention of your peers, facilitated by CMHRC experts and designed to help uncover options you might not have thought of before. You'll have the chance to flesh out the

clinical reasoning behind particular treatment approaches and the decision to pursue and implement them or not. Your clients benefit from your expertise and also benefit from your connection to an interdisciplinary team of professionals who are experts in mood disorders and related conditions.

Come find a home in our community of professionals as we work together to support your practice, your patients, and the field of mental health.
